LIFE WORKS AND WRITTINGS:

Annie Fourmanoir is a French studio potter and art teacher. She was born in Paris in 1931. After following linguistic studies in La Sorbonne, she learned pottery with Paul Chaumeil.

Since the 60s she creates pots and sculptures and explores glaze, forms, materials and textures. Her works is sometimes inspired by the marine universe.

She also dedicates herself in teaching children and adults in her studio located in the 14th district of Paris

At the beginning of her career, she was rewarded with the silver medal of la Biennale de Vallauris (France).

She regularly exhibits in museums and art galleries in France or in foreign countries (England, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Belgium). The museums of Sèvres (France) and Rösska (Sweden) bought some of her works.

She published two books :

« Poétiques d’Argile » published by Editions De la Céramique et du Verre (2013)
